Jen Tidwell

Who?

CURRENT ABOUT/BIO:

Jen was just about born backstage to her professional actor parents. Raised in green rooms and performing onstage from a young age, Jen grew up under the stage lights and discovered her passion for theater and media before she could even ride a bike.

Beginning as a child actor, Jen appeared on professional stages in New York, LA and Miami in a multitude of productions. She also began her voice acting career at the tender age of seven, appearing in ad spots for Pepsi-Cola, Lucky’s Supermarkets and a number of radio ads for regional businesses. By the time she was a teen, Jen had also appeared as on-air talent with her own weekly essay on WLRH 89.5FM in Huntsville, AL.

Over the years she has amassed notable credits such as winner of Best Supporting Actress at SETC 1997 and as a member of The Second City, Las Vegas cast.

With her extensive background in improvisational theater and pop culture knowledge, Jen is the ideal person to moderate your convention panel. Her most notable panel to date is the wildly popular “Newlywed Game” panel at the Earper Homestead Convention in 2019.

While in Las Vegas, Jen established Greenhouse Productions and produced shows in small (60 seats), medium (200 seats) and large (1100 seats) venues from Off-Off-Broadway scale all the way through full Broadway scale productions. She successfully bridged all challenges—artistic, production, planning, and management—and worked in cooperation with Nevada Theatre Company, College of Southern Nevada/Jade Productions, and Super Summer Theatre. Equally skilled in technical theatre, Jen has stage-managed for members of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and done set and sound design for everything from glitzy Vegas reviews to intimate black box productions.

Now based in the Pacific Northwest, Jen continues to work as a professional voice actor, specializing in audiobook narration and commercial copy.
